About EURAXESS
EURAXESS – Researchers in Motion is a unique pan-European initiative delivering information and support services to professional researchers. Backed by the European Union, member states and associated countries, it supports researcher mobility and career development while enhancing scientific collaboration between Europe and the world.
Five hundred EURAXESS centres exist across Europe and provide individual assistance to researchers in need of guidance, and EURAXESS Portal supplies researchers with career and mobility information regarding 40 different countries.
The UK Government funds EURAXESS UK under the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
General benefits of EURAXESS
The EURAXESS portal and community enable researchers and institutions to access opportunities such as jobs, funding, hosting and additional resources to support Career centres and early career researchers in their careers.
EURAXESS UK is a British Council managed portal that aids researchers in their career development, support mobility and acts as a support mechanism for researchers moving abroad or moving to the UK. In addition to providing helpful information and resources, the EURAXESS portal features a free funding database and job search tool.
For employers, EURAXESS UK provides consultation on legal and practical mobility issues, training opportunities for employed researchers, multisectoral cooperation, and the Partnering tool, allowing employers to find the researchers best suited for them.
