The annual conference is ARMA’s flagship networking, learning and development event. It is an opportunity for the research management community to connect, learn and share knowledge. Our conference programme has always been member created, with opportunities for members to share their experiences via presentations and posters.
During COVID we worked hard to ensure members were able to connect with our online conference in 2021 and then as restrictions eased, a hybrid conference in November last year. The overriding feedback we received from members was that they missed our two-day in-person conference and would like to see it return to the traditional June date.
To ensure as many of you as possible have the chance to contribute, and based on your feedback, we have taken the decision to plan our next conference to take place in June 2024.
We need your help to make ARMA 2024 the best it can be. The Conference Working Group (CWG) is currently reviewing your suggestions from the latest call for conference topics and will use these to create the conference themes. We will then be looking for you to contribute your presentation and poster ideas with a call for abstracts going out in September. ARMA 2024 will be a chance to tell the community about all the great work you’ve been doing. Share your successes, challenges, and plans for the future.

We learned a lot from delivering online and hybrid conferences and many members were able to attend an ARMA conference for the first time. We want to ensure that those of you unable to attend an in-person conference still have an opportunity to participate. We’ll be looking to make as much as possible of the content available online and provide opportunities for you to contribute to the discussions.
ARMA chair, Jennifer Johnson, said: ‘I’m delighted that we are moving the ARMA conference back to its traditional place in the annual calendar with a 2 day event in June, whilst learning from our online and hybrid conference experiences to make this event more accessible. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in the plenary session, the online discussions and on the dancefloor!’
We will be announcing the venue and dates for ARMA 2024 in the coming months, and we hope to see you there.
