The Association of Research Managers and Administrators (ARMA) is today launching a survey for completion by Directors of Research and associated leaders at UK higher education institutions. The survey aims to gather information about the current practice of research offices at UK higher education institutions, together with sector trends and challenges.
Importance of the survey
ARMA recognises that the role of institutional research offices is becoming ever more complex, with Directors and Heads of Service required to manage multiple internal and external demands.
Our objective in undertaking this survey is to improve the evidence base to support these individuals in making sounds decisions regarding the organisation and resourcing of their research office.
Benefits of participation
The survey is designed to support Directors and research leaders with high-quality data to inform decision-making on the structures and resourcing levels of research offices.
Survey respondents will receive a confidential benchmarking report on the findings. A shorter, summary report will also be made available publicly.
How to participate
Emails have been sent directly to Directors of Research and associated leaders at UK higher education institutions, asking them to participate.
