A Professional Development Framework for Research Managers and Administrators
Introduction
The ARMA Professional Development Framework (PDF) initially developed as a result of a 12-month project. Well over 100 research managers and administrators (RMAs) took part in focus group discussions, to bring together information about the activities undertaken, as well as expert knowledge and skills required for working across the broad range of research enabling functions. Many more RMAs gave their time generously to review and comment on the draft framework as it developed. The PDF also benefited from input from PraxisUnico, AURIL, AUA, the National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCPEE), the Centre for Research Communication; ARMA would like to gratefully acknowledge their contributions.
