This drop-in session will focus on how institutions – universities, research institutes, and funders – monitor EDI data and address biases in research assessment. It will introduce the activities of the TIER (Towards an Inclusive Evaluation of Research) group, one of the CoARA Working Groups, and open a discussion on the challenges, best practices, and necessary actions for better disaggregation of EDI data in research evaluation.

The session will cover:

• A short introduction to the TIER CoARA Working Group
• Data – Discussion on existing EDI data monitoring practices: challenges, weaknesses, and best practices
• Evaluation – Discussion on existing research evaluation practices addressing EDI: challenges, weaknesses, and best practices
