Event Details
The aim of the workshop is to provide delegates with a specific and practical understanding of post-award administration within a university research management environment. The session combines a mixture of delivered content and activities and also provides an opportunity to network with colleagues from other universities
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
- Understand the overall context of post award administration from both a university and funder context
- Have a good understanding of the financial administration lifecycle of research accounts from start to finish and have confidence to apply the knowledge gained in their role
- Understand the key risks at the post award stage and how to mitigate these
- Have had an opportunity to network with peers in similar roles from across the sector.
Target Audience
This is an introductory level course, particularly suitable for those who are new to a post-award research administration role. The course may also be suitable for those who currently work in a pre-award or wider university setting and wish to gain greater insight into post-award administration.
Prior Knowledge Required
Participants will benefit from having basic accounts and administration experience in a university environment and an understanding of general financial terms.
