We are looking to increase the pool of presenters we have available to deliver our Training and Development Programme.
Our core programme for 2024/25 has recently been launched. In addition to this we are always looking for new ideas to meet the needs of our membership and the sector.
The Training and Development working group have identified the need for further training relating to research integrity, governance and ethics. Areas of potential training sessions have included:
- Introduction to research integrity
- Due Diligence
- a joint session focussing on ethical approval and associated governance structures in the NHS and in HEIs. This session would also focus on NHS specific costing tools such as SOECATs, and would be delivered in collaboration with someone working in an NHS environment.
- NB. These are just outline ideas and we would also welcome other proposals too.
Our Training and Development workshops are typically 2-3 hours long online or all day, face to face. We are looking for people who can help develop and deliver sessions in the above areas. Full support will be provided and we would encourage anyone interested to get in touch to discuss further.
We would like our presenters to develop the session plans, including learning outcomes and deliver these new events. Full support and feedback will be provided throughout by our Training and Development Working Group.
Delivering training to research management professionals is an extremely rewarding experience, great for your own personal development and all presenters receive a small financial renumeration.
