We are delighted to announce that we will be holding a live webinar on Thursday 9th July to accompany the publication of our new report on Benchmarking Institutional Research Offices, based upon research carried out this spring by Research Consulting.
In this webinar, we will explore the role that institutional research offices in the UK play within universities and the evolving challenges that they face.
The presentation summarises the findings of ARMA’s first ever national survey of research offices and will cover structures, remits, staffing, and key trends affecting the sector both in pre- and post-COVID-19 contexts.
The session also provides advice for research managers on using the results of the survey to inform strategic decision-making within UK research offices. Participants will be invited to raise questions and engage in discussion at the end of the session.
Presenting the session will be:
- Steph Bales – Immediate past chair, ARMA and Director of Research and Innovation Services, Teesside University
- Rob Johnson – Founder and Director, Research Consulting
- Dan King – Director, Research Consulting
The programme will include:
- Rationale for the survey
- Project participants and aims
- Key findings
- The impact of COVID-19 on research managers
- Q&A
